Choose one tea-museum campus, compare a cup of Longjing with a hosted tasting, and understand what a tea-garden visit includes.
Pick one museum campus
The 中国茶叶博物馆 identifies two campuses: 双峰馆区, 88 Longjing Road, and 龙井馆区, 268 Wengjiashan. They are not two names for the same entrance. The Shuangfeng visitor guide describes tea-culture, Longjing and tea-utensil displays. Choose the exhibitions you want, save that campus’s address and check its opening notice before traveling. The reviewed guide lists Tuesday closure with holiday exceptions; recheck your date.
Decide what a tasting means to you
A cup served at a tea business, a guided comparison of teas and a lesson in preparation are different purchases. Ask which teas will be served, how many people share the service and whether explanation is included. Keep the first order modest if you only want to understand the flavor. Agree on any per-person, cup or pot charge and refill arrangement before sitting down.
Treat harvest activities as seasonal
Seeing a tea landscape does not mean you may enter planted rows, pick leaves or use processing equipment. If picking or hand-processing is central to your trip, ask a named operator whether that activity is running on your date and what part visitors actually perform. A spring-harvest photograph does not establish an autumn program. Rain can change an outdoor route, so keep the confirmed exhibition visit as an indoor option.
Buy leaves with useful information
For packaged tea, ask for the net weight, price, harvest year and stated origin. Distinguish the sample in your cup from the product being sold. A demonstration or conversation does not oblige you to buy a large package. Save the label and receipt if you decide to purchase, and ask about storage and transport for your journey.
Keep the route compact
请问是双峰馆区还是龙井馆区?这次品茶包含哪些茶、讲解和续水?采茶活动在我的日期开放吗?茶叶净重和总价是多少?
Use the questions for the campus, tasting and any seasonal activity. The itinerary also names Longwu Tea Town, which is a separate outing. Avoid combining every tea destination with Lingyin and Xixi in one day. If the tasting cannot be arranged, a museum visit and a short permitted walk still make a coherent afternoon.
See the West Lake Cultural Landscape of Hangzhou visitor guide for that separate place’s access and route, and compare the Hangzhou itinerary before deciding which visits to replace.
