Choose old-town snacks or the separate small-commodities night market, compare local food names and plan the return to Shijiazhuang.
Choose which evening you want
Save 正定, Zhengding, 旺泉古街, Wangquan Ancient Street, and 正定小商品夜市, the small-commodities night market. Shijiazhuang’s tourism bureau names old-town food choices, while the city describes a separate market at the small-commodities trading area. Check the address on your map: visiting Longxing Temple does not automatically place you at the night-market entrance.
Recognize a few local foods
Official visitor material names 缸炉烧饼, oven-baked flatbread, 马家卤鸡, braised chicken, and 八大碗, a multi-dish local meal tradition. A small flatbread makes a different commitment from a banquet-style order. Ask for the portion and filling, and choose a modest first order instead of treating every unfamiliar name as a snack to add to the same meal.
Look at the stalls actually operating
A market can include local specialties alongside food from elsewhere. Its location in Zhengding is not proof that every stall serves a traditional Zhengding recipe. Read the menu, check the unit and confirm the ingredients for your selected food. Ask where to order, pay and collect. If sharing, check whether the portion can be divided and where you may sit.
Keep monuments and meals separate
Historic interiors, temple access and the evening street have independent rules. A food purchase does not extend the opening of a monument you missed during the day. If you want both heritage and dinner, choose fewer daytime sites and leave a buffer for the transfer. Do not infer a nightly drum performance from a city article describing occasional cultural activity.
Confirm the journey home
请问这是一份还是一个的价格?里面是什么?旺泉古街和小商品夜市分别在哪里?回石家庄在哪里上车?
Ask about units, ingredients and the two locations. Save the restaurant or market entrance and your return pickup point in Chinese. If the market is closed or too crowded, choose a confirmed meal in the same area rather than searching across town for old festival stalls. Keep the return to Shijiazhuang in the plan, including any last public-transport departure you intend to use.
See the Longxing Temple visitor guide for that separate place’s access and route, and compare the Shijiazhuang itinerary before deciding which visits to replace.
