Make this route your own

Use these days as a starting point and adjust the pace to suit you. Check the linked attraction guides for reservations and closures, and allow a full day for longer outings. Confirm weather and tickets before setting off.

Choose one route for each day with alternatives below. Only its listed stops are imported. Optional stops stay in the guide, and opening days still need checking for your dates.

Choose your pace

Make room for local life

Choose which visits to shorten or replace. Check the experience’s address and conditions, and arrange meals, shows or workshops separately. The booking planner saves the listed attraction visits.

DAY1

Yunyan and Nanming

Old-center architecture

Planner route: Old-center architecture.

Planner stops: Yangming Shrine + Wenchang Pavilion + Jiaxiu Tower.

Places mentioned in this day's guide:

  1. Morning: Visit Yangming Shrine and Wenchang Pavilion at an architectural pace, checking each courtyard's access.
  2. Afternoon: Continue to Jiaxiu Tower and the Nanming River; treat the riverbank and tower interior separately.
  3. Evening: keep dinner and the return to your base flexible; do not add another distant ticketed visit.
If the plan changes

If interiors close, keep only the permitted public route; in persistent rain use an open museum.

DAY2

Guanshanhu

Provincial history and geology

These are alternatives. The planner adds only the stops in your chosen option.

Places mentioned in this day's guide:

  1. Morning: Choose the Provincial Museum as the main visit, with its own reservation and document check.
  2. Afternoon: The Geological Museum is an optional second visit after confirming its separate gate and admission; otherwise use one museum only.
  3. Evening: keep dinner and the return to your base flexible; do not add another distant ticketed visit.
If the plan changes

A reservation for either institution is not valid for the other. If both close, exchange this day with a dry-weather city walk.

DAY3

Yunyan / Qianlingshan

A manageable urban mountain

Planner route: A manageable urban mountain.

Planner stops: Qianlingshan Park.

Places mentioned in this day's guide:

  1. Morning: Allow a morning and early afternoon for Qianlingshan's lower park, lake and an optional marked climb.
  2. Afternoon: Rest afterwards in the central district; keep monkeys, steep steps and the actual return gate in mind.
  3. Evening: keep dinner and the return to your base flexible; do not add another distant ticketed visit.
If the plan changes

Use lower open paths only in uncertain weather; in heavy rain postpone the mountain rather than pushing through.

DAY4

Huaxi south

Qingyan and a selected Huaxi stop

Planner route: Qingyan and a selected Huaxi stop.

Planner stops: Qingyan Ancient Town.

Places mentioned in this day's guide:

  1. Morning: Travel to Qingyan and spend the main part of the day in its lanes and chosen heritage courtyards.
  2. Afternoon: If time and transport permit, add one short Huaxi wetland section; Yelang Valley requires a different main-day choice.
  3. Evening: keep dinner and the return to your base flexible; do not add another distant ticketed visit.
If the plan changes

If rain makes paving slippery, move to an indoor city day. Do not combine Qingyan, Tianhetan and a full wetland walk.

DAY5

Huaxi west / Tianhetan

A separate karst-water outing

Planner route: A separate karst-water outing.

Planner stops: Tianhetan Scenic Area.

Places mentioned in this day's guide:

  1. Morning: Protect the day for Tianhetan, confirm your exact outdoor/cave/boat product and the return journey.
  2. Afternoon: Use only operating components. Xiuwen's Yangming Cultural Park or Xifeng Memorial are separate northern day-trip substitutions.
  3. Evening: keep dinner and the return to your base flexible; do not add another distant ticketed visit.
If the plan changes

If rain suspends the cave or boat route, accept a worthwhile open surface route or return to a city museum; do not enter a closed gorge.

These are alternatives to consider, not extra stops to add to the same day. Check locations and transfer times before replacing an itinerary stop; a distant excursion may need a full day.
