Keep central Hefei, the southwestern museums, Sanhe and Zhongmiao as distinct travel clusters. Chaohu city, the lake shore and Laoshan Island are not one metro stop.
The five-day route groups nearby visits and protects long excursions from museum-heavy city days. Check current transport times when setting your own pace. Confirm the station, exit, last return connection and original passport requirements when buying rail tickets. Keep a Chinese destination name and address saved offline for the last leg.
Spring and autumn suit parks and lake excursions. Summer is hot, humid and storm-prone; winter lake winds can be cold. Check the forecast before outdoor days and swap them with a confirmed indoor booking when needed. Avoid scheduling two distant districts merely because both are inside the same municipal boundary.
