Stay near the city-center sights if most of your trip is urban; choose an overnight nearer an outlying excursion when that removes repeated long transfers. A municipality name can cover several county cities, hills and coastlines, so the five-day plan offers choices by geography rather than a compulsory checklist.
Use Jiangxin Island only with confirmed ferries, then walk a short Wuma Street or Nantang route. Keep the evening flexible around the actual return.
Prioritize Wenzhou Museum and select a modest Sanyang Wetland circuit if weather allows. Yongchang Fortress is an alternative Longwan heritage half-day with its own transfer.
Protect a full day or overnight for selected Yandang Mountain sections. Confirm shuttles and separate section tickets; avoid an additional Nanxi valley checklist.
Choose Nanxi River villages and one landscape stop, or a separate Baizhangji/Liu Bowen day. Zeya is another independent rural alternative, not a connecting shortcut.
Select Dongtou coast, Rui’an Yuhai Library/Xianyan, Taishun covered bridges, or Nanji as an overnight ferry trip. These directions cannot all fit in one day; retain weather flexibility.
