How to plan Jinhua

Wuzhou heritage, Shuanglong caves and distinct county-city trips to Lanxi, Hengdian, Wuyi and Yiwu. Stay near the city-center sights if most of your trip is urban; choose an overnight nearer an outlying excursion when that removes repeated long transfers. A municipality name can cover several county cities, hills and coastlines, so the five-day plan offers choices by geography rather than a compulsory checklist.

Five days with realistic transfers

Day 1: Wuzhou core

Visit Jinhua Museum and walk a compact Wuzhou Old City route with independently confirmed interiors.

Day 2: Shuanglong caves

Protect a substantial cave day, verifying the operating cave circuit and return transport before entry.

Day 3: Lanxi heritage

Choose Zhuge Village as the main heritage visit. Youbu is a separate town and requires a real transfer; add it only with a relaxed return or overnight.

Day 4: Dongyang or Hengdian

Choose a full Hengdian film-set day or Dongyang Luzhai and the Woodcarving Expo. These alternatives avoid rushing three large visitor areas.

Day 5: Choose a county direction

Use Wuyi for one village or Niutou Mountain; Yongkang for Fangyan; Pujiang for Xianhua or Shangshan; Yiwu for the trade market. Select one direction and allow transport, rather than chaining all seven.

Admission and foreign-passport preparation

Open the individual visit guides to check which venue or area your ticket covers. Confirm current opening hours, prices, reservations and the passport process through the venue’s official channel before you go. Bring the original passport used for booking and save your confirmation offline. If the form only accepts a mainland ID, ask the venue how overseas visitors should book. Check eligibility before relying on a discount or walk-up ticket, and confirm whether a tour or guided activity includes admission.

Weather, closures and alternatives

Spring and autumn; mountain rain and summer heat call for flexible outdoor days. Keep an indoor collection day movable, but independently confirm that museum’s session and admission. When a boat, lift, ridge or waterfront closes, follow the official shortened route or change the day; do not replace it with an unofficial operator.
