Check booking conditions →South Lake and urban canals, with dedicated days for Wuzhen, Xitang and the Haining or Haiyan coast. Stay near the city-center sights if most of your trip is urban; choose an overnight nearer an outlying excursion when that removes repeated long transfers. A municipality name can cover several county cities, hills and coastlines, so the five-day plan offers choices by geography rather than a compulsory checklist.
Choose a lake-shore route and confirmed memorial session, with Yuehe as a separate afternoon walk if energy allows.
Visit Jiaxing Museum, Zicheng and a selected Meiwan or Yuehe route. Meihuazhou is a separate suburban alternative, not a necessary extra.
Give Wuzhen a full day or overnight. Puyuan is an independent Tongxiang alternative with a different product and gate; do not treat it as an included extension.
